Macron confirmed that security guarantees for Ukraine are being prepared

French President Emmanuel Macron announced on Wednesday that security guarantees for Ukraine are ready and will be adopted on Thursday by the countries of the so-called “coalition of the willing” that support Kyiv in its fight against Russian aggression.

Macron said this during a meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky at the Élysée Palace. He stressed that Europe is ready to give these guarantees on the day the peace agreement is signed.

Preparations for this commitment have been completed. Thursday's negotiations in Paris are expected to focus on the allies' next steps regarding Ukraine's post-war security and reaffirm the unified approach of Western countries to providing long-term support to Kyiv.
