Xi Jinping praises Slovakia for its loyalty to friendship with China

Chinese President Xi Jinping praised Slovakia for its loyalty to its friendship with China and thanked Prime Minister Robert Fico (Smer) for his efforts to further support the development of relations between Beijing and the European Union.
He emphasized that today, more than ever, the international community needs unity and cooperation.

During the meeting, the president expressed his hope that Slovakia would continue to play a positive role in deepening relations between China and the European Union, which Beijing considers important in the context of trade and customs conflicts.

Fico confirmed that developing a strategic partnership with China was important for Slovakia, with Slovakia firmly adhering to the One China policy and striving to expand economic, cultural, and human cooperation.

Both countries plan to further deepen trade exchanges and strategic cooperation.
