Syrian brothers beat up ice cream man and his daughter, wanted free ice cream

On Monday, a brutal incident occurred in Hof (Bavaria) at the popular ice cream parlor “Levante,” run by the Syrian Farra family. Three brothers aged 15 to 25, also of Syrian origin, returned to the restaurant after failing to make a card payment of €15 the previous week.

The owner agreed to let them pay at a later date – but this time the brothers demanded ice cream for free. When the owner, Ahmad Farra, refused, they attacked him, his ten-year-old daughter, and an employee with chairs and tables. The child suffered scratches and bruises, while Farra sustained several injuries.

The police arrived, used pepper spray, and drew their weapons when one of the brothers resisted the officers. Despite the serious allegations—including aggravated assault, resisting law enforcement, and assaulting a public official—all three remained free for the time being. The public prosecutor saw no reason for detention. The operator sharply criticized this and described the perpetrators as dangerous.
