The death of 23-year-old Ukrainian Iryna Zarucká has shocked the public. The girl, who emigrated to Charlotte, North Carolina, three years ago with her mother and siblings due to the war in Ukraine, was the victim of a brutal attack on a commuter train.

According to the Daily Mail, her father Stanislav, who had remained in Ukraine, was unable to attend his daughter's funeral. This is because he falls into the age group that is subject to a travel ban due to the ongoing Russian invasion.

New family photos and videos remind us of Iryna as a cheerful young woman who dreamed of becoming a model and working in the veterinary field. She studied English, worked in a clothing store and a pizzeria, and took care of her neighbors' pets.

Her family described her as a talented artist who had already studied art and restoration in Kiev and was involved in the preservation of historical artifacts.

According to police, she was stabbed to death by a homeless man, 34-year-old schizophrenic Decarlos Brown Jr. He had already been arrested in fourteen criminal cases in the past. The unprovoked knife attack on Iryna on August 22 this year also prompted a response from President Donald Trump, who is calling for the death penalty for the suspect.
