Ukraine attacks Gazprom facility in Bashkortostan – no casualties reported

According to regional chief Radiy Khabirov, the attack caused a fire, but no casualties were reported.
All emergency services were on site, and the facility's security forces opened fire on the drones.

Khabirov said the extent of the damage was still being assessed.

The same complex was already the target of a Ukrainian attack in May 2024.

Since the beginning of August, Ukraine has intensified its drone attacks on Russian oil and gas infrastructure, while according to Moscow, peace talks are currently suspended.

Last week, drones also hit a refinery in Ufa, the capital of Bashkortostan, which is located about 1,400 kilometers from the Ukrainian border.
