The Kremlin wants to restart Nord Stream and is counting on the success of the German investigations

The Russian presidential administration said on Friday that the remaining section of the Nord Stream pipelines from Russia to Germany could be quickly put back into operation.

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov expressed hope that German authorities would soon successfully conclude their investigation into the explosions that damaged the pipeline.

In August, a Ukrainian citizen was arrested in Italy on suspicion of involvement in the attacks, which Russia directly attributes to Kiev. The Kremlin also stated that Ukraine could not have carried out these actions without the knowledge of the then administration of US President Joe Biden.

Peskov also confirmed that the TurkStream and Blue Stream pipelines to Turkey are still in operation and that Russia is continuing its energy cooperation with Turkey even after Donald Trump's meeting with Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
