Man accused of running a “sex prison” worked for Soros

Howard Rubin, 70, known as “Howie” or “H.,” is a former US investment banker who is currently on trial for trafficking women for sexual exploitation. According to prosecutors, between 2009 and 2019, he ran an extensive network in which he recruited women.

Most of them were former Playboy models whom he forced to travel to New York to perform sexual acts with him, sometimes using violence, fraud, and coercion.

The charges also include operating an alleged “sex prison” in his penthouse, where women were allegedly held and abused. Rubin pleaded not guilty in court. The judge remanded him into custody without the possibility of bail.

His assistant, Jennifer Powers, has also been charged. Prosecutors allege that together they invested more than $1 million in financing these activities. Rubin's lawyer did not respond to a request for comment.

According to FoxNews, the defendant previously worked as a portfolio manager for Soros Fund Management, a company founded by George Soros.
