Beijing and Moscow reaffirm partnership. Talks on energy and Taiwan
Chinese President Xi Jinping met with Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin in Beijing to strengthen economic ties between China and Russia.
Xi emphasized the strategic importance of cooperation despite growing pressure from the West and highlighted areas such as energy, agriculture, and the digital economy as key pillars for further development.
Mishustin called for the creation of a favorable environment for investment and joint projects. Although trade between the two countries has declined in recent months, both sides expressed their determination to deepen the partnership.
In a joint statement, Russia pledged to support the One China principle and rejected Taiwan's independence.
