US President Donald Trump has expressed his support for Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán ahead of the upcoming parliamentary elections. In a letter published by Orbán on Facebook, Trump wishes him good luck in the campaign and thanks him for the invitation to Hungary.

Although he did not say whether he would visit the country in person, he mentioned that his team would be in touch regarding a possible program.

The letter, dated December 10, confirms their long-standing political partnership, as both leaders share conservative values and a tough stance on migration.

As expected, elections in Hungary will take place in April, with Orbán once again fighting to retain power.
