Tusk Seeks Greater Say on Ukraine
Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk has openly expressed dissatisfaction that Poland was excluded from talks in London involving the leaders of Britain, France and Germany, as well as Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.
Tusk stressed that Warsaw should have a seat at any discussion concerning Ukraine's future and a potential end to the war with Russia. At the same time, he cautioned against rushing into dialogue with Russian President Vladimir Putin.
The Polish prime minister noted that Poland has been among Ukraine's strongest supporters since the start of Russia's full-scale invasion and has also invested heavily in NATO defence.
He criticised the E3 format, which brings together Britain, France and Germany, arguing that decisions made without Poland's participation would not automatically be binding on Warsaw. Tusk added that Italy had voiced similar concerns.
At the same time, he announced that another meeting on Ukraine would take place in the coming days and that both Poland and Italy would be represented.
