Prince Harry donates over £1 million to BBC Children in Need

During a visit to Nottingham, Prince Harry announced that he would personally donate £1.1 million (around €1.29 million) to the BBC Children in Need charity.

This is one of the largest publicly known individual donations ever made by a member of the British royal family.

The funds will benefit young people in communities particularly affected by violence and crime, especially in Nottingham.

In his speech, Harry emphasized his close connection to the city and underscored the urgency of addressing the problem of youth violence.

While royal donations usually remain anonymous, Harry's contribution was announced publicly this time.
In recent years, other members of the monarchy have also made donations – King Charles III, for example, after the earthquake in Turkey and Syria, and Prince William for Ukraine, victims of a hurricane, and the London Food Aid Fund, among others.

On Tuesday, Harry also commemorated the anniversary of Queen Elizabeth's death.

On Wednesday, he plans to visit a research center for limb injuries.

The media is speculating whether he will meet with his father, whom he has not seen for 20 months, during his stay.
