ABC suspends Jimmy Kimmel Show after comments about Kirk's death

The US television network ABC has suspended broadcasts of “Jimmy Kimmel Live” indefinitely after the host commented on Monday on the death of conservative activist Charlie Kirk.

Kimmel commented on the shooting in Utah that killed Kirk last week and criticized the MAGA movement's efforts to portray the perpetrator as someone other than one of their own supporters and to capitalize on the incident politically.
A spokesperson for ABC said the show would be taken off the air indefinitely and replaced with other content.

President Donald Trump welcomed the move, calling it “great news for America.” He also said that Kimmel had neither talent nor ratings.
