Zelensky: Ukraine will soon start controlled exports of weapons and drones

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced that Kiev would present a strategy for the “controlled” export of weapons in two weeks.

In his regular evening address, the president emphasized that the export program would be accompanied by a system of strict controls to ensure that the technologies are only supplied to reliable partners.

Zelensky named the US, European countries, and other allies as potential buyers. This step is intended to enable Ukraine not only to strengthen its defense on the front lines, but also to build its own arms industry as a stable source of income and a driver of innovation.

Ukraine is thus attempting to break away from its exclusive dependence on Western military aid and make an active contribution to the international arms market.
