Offensive in Gaza continues, Hamas warns of danger to hostages

The Israeli army continues its intense offensive on Gaza City, destroying underground tunnels and mined buildings. According to Palestinian authorities, 34 people were killed on Saturday.

Ten countries, including Australia, the UK, and Canada, are expected to officially recognize the Palestinian state on Monday, increasing diplomatic pressure ahead of the UN meeting.

Israel claims that since the beginning of September, some 350,000 residents have left the city, but another 600,000 remain, including Israeli hostages, whom Hamas has shown in a photo with a warning about their endangerment.

Israel claims that the humanitarian crisis is being exaggerated and that Hamas can end the conflict if it disarms and releases the hostages. Hamas makes this conditional on the establishment of a Palestinian state.
