Harris has admitted that biological differences in sport cannot be ignored
In her new book, “107 Days,” former US Vice President and unsuccessful presidential candidate Kamala Harris has openly admitted for the first time that she had reservations about transgender athletes participating in women's competitions, as reported by the website Fox News.
She explained that she understands the concerns of parents and female athletes who point to biological differences and possible unfair advantages, especially in contact sports. At the same time, however, she emphasized that she does not want to demonize the transgender community and refuses to turn against them.
Harris avoided this issue during the election campaign, but in her opinion, the issue of transgender athletes was one of the factors in her election defeat.
Trump's campaign team used the slogan “Kamala is for them, Donald Trump is for you,” which analysts say resonated strongly with voters.
An exit poll by the CWA organization found that up to 70 percent of moderate voters considered this issue important.
