Trump accuses NATO allies of lacking resolve

Donald Trump sent an open letter to NATO member states calling for a unified approach toward Russia. He stated that he was prepared to impose tough sanctions if all NATO countries committed to a joint approach and simultaneously stopped purchasing Russian oil entirely.

He accused the allies of lacking resolve and warned that trade with Moscow was weakening the West's negotiating position. He also proposed imposing 50-100 percent tariffs on China, which would remain in place until the end of the war in Ukraine, as he believed this would weaken China's influence on Russia.

Trump described the current conflict as “Biden and Zelensky's war,” which he believes would not have happened if he were president. He claims that his proposals could end the war quickly and save thousands of lives.

At the same time, he warns that the United States is wasting time, money, and energy if NATO does not act.
