Kellogg: Trump allowed Ukraine to launch long-range attacks on Russia
Keith Kellogg, US President Donald Trump's special envoy for Ukraine, stated on Fox News that Trump had authorized Ukraine to carry out long-range attacks against Russia.
He cited not only Trump's statements, but also the positions of Vice President J. D. Vance and Secretary of State Marco Rubio.
At the same time, he made it clear that Russia should not expect any safe zones.
Kellogg also explained that the situation regarding the use of American weapons for such attacks was “mixed” – sometimes the Ukrainian armed forces received approval, sometimes they did not. He also pointed out that, according to the Constitution, the president, as commander-in-chief, was the highest authority and his decisions were binding.
“If the president goes left, you go left. If he says right, you go right. That's just how the president is. According to the latest information, none of us received the Electoral College votes – but he did. So, if the president says we should do something, then we just have to do it and implement it,” Kellogg said.
Volodymyr Zelensky has asked Trump to supply Tomahawk missiles with a range of 2,500 kilometers, but the United States has not yet officially decided on this request.
US Vice President JD Vance said on Sunday that talks on this issue are still ongoing. However, the final decision will be made by President Donald Trump.
