The Kremlin hopes for success of Trump's peace plan for Gaza
The Kremlin has expressed hope that US President Donald Trump's peace plan for Gaza will bring stability to the region. The plan, which has the support of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, aims to end the nearly two-year conflict in the Gaza Strip.
However, it remains questionable whether the Palestinian Hamas will accept it.
Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov welcomed Trump's efforts to end the war and emphasized that Moscow supports every step toward peace. At the same time, he reiterated Russia's position that the only viable solution lies in the creation of two independent states.
Russia has long criticized Israeli operations in the Gaza Strip, while its relations with Iran, Israel's enemy, have deepened in recent years.
