Diplomacy is active, but Ukraine is not moving closer to peace, claims former minister Kuleba

The former head of Ukrainian diplomacy, Dmytro Kuleba, spoke sharply in an interview for the website Obozrevatel about the current developments in the war and his own position.

He rejects rumors about his “escape” and claims that he is staying in Kyiv, although he is currently unable to leave the country due to changes in regulations.

He criticized the government for illogical restrictions on former diplomats, which he believes affect only a small group of people.

As for the prospects for peace, Kuleba claims that despite intensive diplomatic efforts, no real progress is being made.

In his opinion, Putin continues to pursue the maximalist goal of subjugating Ukraine. For genuine peace negotiations to begin, the West would have to take measures that would force him to change his strategy.
