Trump threatens Antifa: “We will be much more threatening than they are to us”

US President Donald Trump threatened to crack down on Antifa, which he once again described as a “terrorist organization.” During his first term in office, he had already threatened massive intervention against the radical left-wing group, but since then, US security agencies have neither identified Antifa members nor sources of funding, nor have they filed any criminal charges.

According to the US Congressional Research Service, Antifa appears to be a decentralized movement without a unified organizational structure or clear ideology.

At an event at the White House with supporters from right-wing media outlets, Trump announced that he would focus not only on the activists but also on their financial backers. At the same time, he criticized the mainstream media for concealing alleged left-wing violence.

He also announced the deployment of federal security forces and troops to cities governed by Democrats—from Chicago to Portland, Oregon—despite resistance from local authorities and ongoing judicial reviews.
