Turkey will monitor ceasefire in Gaza, Erdogan announces

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said Thursday that Turkey would participate in monitoring compliance with the ceasefire in the Gaza Strip agreed upon by Israel and Hamas.

In a speech in Ankara, he said the country planned to directly support this monitoring mission and was also interested in contributing to the reconstruction of Gaza's infrastructure.

Erdogan emphasized that Turkey was determined to participate in the operation aimed at ensuring the implementation of the peace agreements directly on the ground.

According to the president, Turkey wants to support not only security but also the renewal of the region, which has long suffered from the conflict.
