Loomer attacks. The US allegedly gives Qatar a “military base”

Activist Laura Loomer has attacked the administration of US President Donald Trump for its defense cooperation with Qatar, spreading false claims about the establishment of a Qatari military base on US soil.

In fact, it is a training facility for Qatari pilots that is being built at the US Mountain Home base in Idaho and will be completely under US control. The construction is being financed by Qatar, but carried out by American contractors under military supervision.

Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth emphasized that it is not a “base” in the sense that Loomer means.

Nevertheless, Loomer caused an uproar among conservative voters on the X platform, accusing Trump of “allowing Muslims from Qatar to murder Americans.”

Loomer has a strong media influence and was previously involved in the dismissal of a high-ranking general. According to the US, this is a standard training program similar to those of other allies.
