A clash of interests? Babiš remains the only choice for prime minister, according to ANO
The ANO movement unequivocally rejects any discussion about replacing Andrej Babiš as a candidate for prime minister. According to deputy chairwoman Alena Schillerová, the citizens clearly supported him in the democratic elections and there is no reason to question their decision, Echo24 reports.
Deputy chairman Karel Havlicek also stressed that Babiš remains the only candidate for prime minister. Their movement, he said, has a strong mandate and the support of the future coalition.
The criticism of a possible clash of interests is considered by ANO representatives and their allies to be premature and irrelevant.
Tomio Okamura of the SPD claims that Babiš would only get into a clash of interests after his appointment, while the law gives him 30 days to resolve it. Similarly, the head of the Motorists, Petr Macinka, said he expects the Slovak native to resolve the situation in accordance with the law.
