Britain and Western allies criticize Israel for demolishing UN agency

The United Kingdom and its allies, including France, Canada, and Spain, have strongly condemned the demolition of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) compound in East Jerusalem by Israeli authorities.

In a joint statement published on the British government's website, they called on Israel, led by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, to halt all demolitions.

The signatories are foreign ministers from 11 countries, including Belgium, Denmark, Ireland, Japan, and Norway.

These states expressed concern over the ongoing interventions, which they consider a violation of international law and an obstacle to the peace process.
