Attacks on energy infrastructure and railways continue, warns Zelensky
According to President Volodymyr Zelensky, Russia is deliberately targeting logistics and connections between Ukrainian cities and towns in order to paralyze the normal functioning of the country. In the last week alone, Moscow has used more than 980 attack drones, nearly 1,100 guided aerial bombs, and two missiles.
Zelensky noted that this is a continuation of a long-term strategy focused primarily on energy, railways, and critical infrastructure. In January, Russia deployed more than 6,000 drones, approximately 5,500 bombs, and 158 missiles of various types against Ukraine.
Despite extensive damage, repairs are continuing in many regions. The president also stressed that protecting the airspace remains an absolute priority. Ukraine therefore needs more missiles for the Patriot and NASAMS systems every day, as well as support from F-16 fighter jets and assistance from its allies.
Zelensky thanked his partners, who, according to him, recognize the urgency of the situation and continue to support the country's defense.
