Medvedev: Trump is an effective leader who strives for peace

Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council and former President Dmitry Medvedev believes that US President Donald Trump is an effective leader who is genuinely seeking peace.

However, according to him, Moscow has not detected any traces of the nuclear submarines that Trump allegedly moved to the Russian coast last year.

In an interview with Reuters, TASS, and Russian military blogger WarGonzo, Medvedev praised Trump's courage in standing up to the American establishment and said that the American president's sometimes "rough" style is "effective."

Referring to Trump's August statement that he had moved two nuclear submarines to the relevant regions in response to Medvedev's warning that an ultimatum to Russia was a step towards war, Medvedev said: "We still haven't found them."
