Unknown drone crashes at Polish base near weapons depot

A drone of unknown origin crashed at a military base in Przasnysz, Poland, just 70 meters from a weapons depot. The incident took place last Wednesday at the 2nd Radioelectronic Center, which plays a key role in monitoring the radio space in northeastern Poland, including the strategically sensitive Suwałki Gap.

According to Radio ZET's findings, the crew noticed the unmanned vehicle flying over the base but was unable to intervene.

A source familiar with the case claims that it may have been a reconnaissance drone designed to scan antenna systems. After it crashed, the authorities made a mistake by moving it into a building, even though it could still have been operational and collecting data.

The military police confirmed that they are investigating the case as a violation of aviation regulations. Polish law allows for a prison sentence of up to five years for such an offense.
