US negotiations with Greenland are positive, but the outcome is uncertain
Negotiations between Greenland and the United States are continuing, but according to Greenland's Foreign Minister Vivian Motzfeldt, it is still too early to talk about specific results.
Although she described the fact that they are engaged in dialogue as a positive sign, she admitted that the current state of negotiations does not yet meet Greenland's expectations. "We have a long way to go," Motzfeldt said, indicating that final agreements are still a long way off.
The statement was made during a joint press conference in Nuuk attended by representatives of Denmark and Canada, underscoring the broader regional dimension of the discussions.
In the context of growing US interest in the Arctic and its strategic resources, Greenland is proceeding cautiously and seeking to negotiate from a position that takes into account its long-term interests.
