Trump and Netanyahu mainly discussed nuclear diplomacy

The meeting between US President Donald Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu focused mainly on the Iranian nuclear issue.

This was the seventh meeting between the two leaders in the last 13 months, and according to available information, Netanyahu tried to persuade the US to extend negotiations with Iran to include its missile program and support for armed groups in the region.

Trump reiterated that the goal is an agreement without "nuclear weapons and missiles," while threatening tough measures if diplomacy fails.

Tehran is open to discussing nuclear restrictions in exchange for the lifting of sanctions, but refuses to negotiate on missiles. The possibility of military escalation therefore remains on the table.

The situation in Gaza was also on the table, where the ceasefire is stalling and Trump's reconstruction plan is meeting resistance from Netanyahu's government, particularly on the issue of a Palestinian state.
