Russia claims to have captured another village in southeastern Ukraine

The Russian Defense Ministry announced on Sunday that its troops had captured the village of Tsvitkove in the southeastern Ukrainian region of Zaporizhzhia, according to the state news agency TASS.

Russia controls about 75 percent of the Zaporizhzhia region, but the front lines had been mostly static since 2022 until the recent advance by Russian troops.
