Epstein's girlfriend got into university through nepotism
Columbia University has taken disciplinary action against two representatives of the dental faculty. Documents from the US Department of Justice reveal that they helped Jeffrey Epstein's girlfriend bypass the standard admission process, according to The New York Times.
According to the published materials, the person in question was Karina Šuľaková, who had a Slovak passport. Šuľaková was a dental student in Belarus, but at the age of 20 she moved to the United States, where she was not accepted for study.
In February 2012, Epstein sent several emails to the university and made a donation. Šuľaková was then accepted as a transfer student on May 3, 2012.
Epstein and Shulakova were close. Two days before the financier's death in 2019, he allegedly named her as his heir and bequeathed her $100 million.
The university announced that it had completely terminated its cooperation with Dr. Thomas Magnani and removed Dr. Letty Moss-Salentijn from her administrative functions, although she remains a full professor.
At the same time, the institution identified donations totaling $210,000 from entities associated with Epstein, which it plans to donate to organizations supporting victims of sexual abuse and human trafficking.
