Talks on Ukraine postponed, US turns attention to Iran
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced that Kyiv remains in constant contact with its American partners, but that planned talks on the next steps in the war have been postponed. According to him, this was done at the suggestion of the US, which is currently focusing its attention on the escalating situation surrounding Iran.
Zelenskyy emphasized that Ukraine is ready to negotiate at any time and in any format that could contribute to a realistic end to the war with Russia. The negotiating team also informed the president about Moscow's actions, which Kyiv is monitoring primarily through intelligence services.
The Ukrainian leader also ordered continued communication with US negotiators on strategic security cooperation, including protection against attack drones.
Zelenskyy also claims that Russia is trying to use tensions in the Middle East to its advantage and turn Iranian attacks into another front in a broader conflict against Ukraine and the West.
