Iran Executes Two Men Accused of Spying for Israel
Iran executed two men on Saturday after they were accused of spying for Israel, Iranian media reported. One of the men was accused of gathering intelligence near the Natanz nuclear facility in the central province of Isfahan.
Iranian media quoted a judiciary statement as saying that Yaghoub Karimpour and Nasser Bakarzadeh were hanged after being found guilty of collaborating with Israel and its intelligence agency, Mossad.
According to the reports, Karimpour passed sensitive information to a Mossad officer, while Bakarzadeh was accused of collecting information on government and religious figures, as well as key locations including the Natanz area.
