US Demands Uranium and Nuclear Limits in Iran Deal Talks

The United States has presented Tehran with five new conditions expected to form the basis for resumed negotiations between the two countries, according to Iran's Fars news agency. The information has not been confirmed by other Iranian sources or by the US side.

Among the reported conditions, Washington is refusing to compensate Iran for damage caused by bombing and is demanding the transfer of 400 kg of enriched uranium to the US. It is also calling for only one active nuclear facility to remain on Iranian territory and is pushing for an end to regional fighting, including in Lebanon, to be resolved diplomatically. A further condition is that the US would release no more than a quarter of Iran's frozen assets.
