JPMorgan Chief Praises China's Consistency in Global Relations

JPMorgan Chase chief executive Jamie Dimon has said China has been "more consistent" in its relations with other countries recently, adding that American business leaders are reassessing their view of the world's second-largest economy.

Dimon made the remarks on Bloomberg TV in response to a question about whether China is becoming a safe haven amid global uncertainty. He also stressed that "America is still a safe haven", though he said the United States has "surprised people recently".

The head of America's largest bank warned of a possible further rise in US bond yields, citing high deficits and rapidly growing spending on artificial intelligence. He praised Chinese innovations in electric cars, batteries and solar technology, while acknowledging that AI will bring job losses even as it creates new ones.
