Trump Says US and Iran Close to Deal to End War

Donald Trump said in an interview with CBS News that US and Iranian negotiators were "getting a lot closer" to finalizing an agreement to end the conflict.

A final deal would prevent Iran from obtaining a nuclear weapon and ensure that Iran's enriched uranium was "satisfactorily handled", according to Trump.

"I will only sign a deal where we get everything we want", CBS News quoted Trump as saying.

Iran, the United States and mediator Pakistan all said on Saturday that progress had been made in negotiations to end the nearly three-month conflict.

In a separate interview with Axios, Trump said he would discuss the latest draft of the Iran deal with his advisers on Saturday and could decide by Sunday whether to resume the war. "Either we reach a good deal or I'll blow them to a thousand hells", Trump told Axios.
