Russian Ideologue Dugin Casts Putin as Sacred Ruler

Russian philosopher Alexander Dugin, widely regarded as a leading ideologue of the "Russian world" concept, has outlined a radical vision of the state, society and war in an interview with Ksenia Sobchak, as reported by Meduza.

Dugin argues that Russia should prepare for long-term confrontation and build a "state of war" capable of facing any threat. He describes Russians as a peace-loving people but one historically destined for constant conflict.

The philosopher also advocated restricting internet access and tightening state control of society. The internet, he said, should only be available "on merit", and shutting it down supposedly returns people to "normal life". He also declared that the state must inspire fear and described repression as a tool for the restoration of elites.

Dugin criticized democratic elections, saying they do not produce real change, and described President Vladimir Putin as a "sacred ruler" and the embodiment of Russia's historical path.
