Zelensky Warns of New Large-Scale Russian Attack

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said Russia could launch another large-scale attack on Ukraine overnight from Tuesday to Wednesday.

"According to our intelligence, another large-scale attack may occur tonight", Zelensky said in his evening video address. He urged Ukrainians to follow air raid alerts and safety instructions.

The warning came after a major Russian assault overnight from Monday to Tuesday. According to Ukrainian authorities, at least 22 people were killed and more than 130 injured in attacks across the country.

Zelensky said Russia launched more than 650 drones and 70 missiles during the barrage, making it one of the largest air attacks of the war.

The Ukrainian president also highlighted ongoing challenges facing the country's air defense network.

"Unfortunately, the current level of supplies for our air defence does not enable us to intercept a significant portion of the missiles", Zelensky said.

He called on Ukraine's international partners to continue providing military assistance, including air defense missiles, advanced defense systems and intelligence support.

"All partners together, and everyone in Europe, must continue working to ensure that Ukraine receives air defence missiles, the necessary systems, vital intelligence and other resources that help save lives", he said.

The latest attacks come as Russia and Ukraine continue to exchange long-range strikes far from the front lines, while fighting on the battlefield remains intense.
