Poland Tops World Rankings for Ultra-Wealthy Growth
Poland has recorded the fastest growth in the number of ultra-high net worth individuals of any country in the world. According to the latest report by Knight Frank, the number of people with assets exceeding $30m has risen by more than 109% over five years, from around 1,400 to more than 3,000, Notes from Poland reports.
Analysts expect the trend to continue, with the number of such individuals projected to approach 5,000 by 2031. The number of billionaires is also forecast to grow significantly, more than doubling from current levels.
The surge in wealth reflects Poland's strong economic performance as one of Europe's fastest-growing economies, though it has also prompted questions about social inequality. While official figures point to declining income inequality and record low levels of extreme poverty, some economists caution that the true extent of the wealth gap may be wider than the statistics suggest.
