Iran Says Final Talks With US Could Begin Friday

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said on Tuesday that negotiations with the United States on a final agreement are expected to begin on Friday.

He also warned that any Israeli attack on Lebanon or continued Israeli military presence on Lebanese territory would constitute a violation of the interim agreement reached with Washington.

“In our view, the parties to this memorandum are the US and Israel on one side, and Iran and Hezbollah on the other”, Araghchi said.

His comments suggest that Tehran views the agreement as extending beyond the bilateral US-Iran relationship and encompassing broader regional security arrangements involving Israel and Hezbollah.
