Netherlands Pledges €500m in Fresh Military Aid to Ukraine

The Netherlands has pledged a new military aid package worth €500m to Ukraine, to be used for the purchase of drones and air defense systems.

Half the amount will fund the procurement of unmanned aerial vehicles from Dutch defense companies, with the remaining €250m channeled through an initiative aimed at supplying US weapons to Ukraine. The Netherlands' total contribution to that program will thus reach €1bn.

The aid package also includes air defense equipment and missiles, ammunition for F-16 fighter jets and other weapons systems. The Netherlands and Ukraine have also signed a memorandum of cooperation in the field of defense innovation.
