Politico: Trump's Gaza Board of Peace to Meet in Cyprus

Trump's Gaza Board of Peace is set to meet on 30 June at a resort in Cyprus to adjust its strategy after months in which the war with Iran diverted attention from the Gaza Strip, Politico reported. According to officials familiar with the preparations, the meeting is expected to last two to three days.

The talks are expected to include representatives of the National Committee for the Administration of Gaza, a body of Palestinian technocrats tasked with replacing Hamas in governing the Gaza Strip, and representatives from the office of Nikolay Mladenov, a former Bulgarian diplomat whom Donald Trump appointed as his senior representative for Gaza. Cyprus will participate as an observer.

The council was established under Washington's leadership to oversee the reconstruction and administration of the Gaza Strip. It held its first meeting in February but made little progress due to problems with funding, logistics and issues of international and legal legitimacy.

Six people, including two children and an Al Jazeera cameraman, were killed in Gaza during a recent Israeli strike. A ceasefire brokered by Trump in October 2025 led to the release of the remaining 20 Israeli hostages.
