Israel Has Called on Residents of Southern Lebanon to Leave
For the first time since the ceasefire with Hezbollah, the Israeli military has called on civilians in southern Lebanon to evacuate.
According to Lebanese state media, Israeli forces dropped leaflets over the village of Mansouri, urging residents to leave immediately and raising concerns about a possible renewed deterioration of the security situation.
A Lebanese army official stated that Israel has since designated Mansouri as part of the zone controlled by Israeli forces in southern Lebanon.
According to Lebanese authorities, Israeli soldiers are enforcing the boundary of this zone by firing on anyone who approaches it, including civilians and members of the Lebanese army. According to available information, farmers continue to travel to the area for work, but they no longer live there permanently.
