Four-Story Apartment Building Collapses in Athens

A four-story apartment building collapsed on Tuesday in the Petralona district of Athens. Greek rescue workers are continuing to search the rubble for anyone who may still be trapped, according to the fire department.

Four people who were initially feared to be buried beneath the debris were later found alive and unharmed. Despite this, the search operation remains underway.

Rescue teams, including specially trained search dogs, are working at the scene, while additional crews remain on standby.

The cause of the collapse of the building, which contained seven apartments, has not yet been determined. Firefighters said construction work was underway at a neighboring building when the collapse occurred.
