Window Failure Partially Pulls Out Ryanair Passenger

A Ryanair flight from Thessaloniki, Greece, to Memmingen, Germany, was forced to return shortly after takeoff on Friday after a passenge window came loose. According to two airport sources, one passenger was partially pulled out of the cabin. The cause of the incident remains under investigation.

Ryanair confirmed that a window came loose during the flight. Medical assistance was provided to one person, but the airline did not disclose further details. The US Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) confirmed the aircraft was a Boeing 737 NG.

According to Greek media, part of an engine broke off shortly after takeoff, shattering the window, causing the cabin to depressurize and partially pulling one passenger out of the aircraft. Two airport sources also confirmed those details to Reuters. The aircraft remains in Thessaloniki, where investigators are examining the incident.

FlightRadar24 data also showed that the same aircraft returned to Thessaloniki shortly after takeoff on Thursday while operating a flight to Sarajevo. The reason for that return remains unknown.
