Ukraine's Parliament Approves New Government
The Ukrainian Parliament approved Prime Minister Sergii Koretskyi's new government on Thursday, completing the next phase of President Volodymyr Zelensky's cabinet reshuffle.
Lawmakers supported the appointment of Taras Vysotskyi, the current deputy minister of economy, as the new minister of agriculture.
Vsevolod Chentsov will become deputy prime minister for European integration. Finance Minister Serhii Marchenko will remain in his position and continue to lead the ministry.
The vote did not cover the ministries of defense and foreign affairs, since under the Ukrainian constitutional system, candidates for these posts are nominated by the president.
