Monaco Attack on Ukrainian Businessman Caught on Camera

Ukrainian authorities have released security camera footage that they say captures an assassination attempt on Ukrainian businessman Vadim Yermolayev in Monaco on 29 June.

The Prosecutor General Ruslan Kravchenko reported that investigators obtained crucial evidence after experts from the Ukrainian Security Service (SBU) restored footage from a camera that the perpetrators allegedly attempted to destroy.

According to investigators, the camera had been installed in advance to confirm the successful execution of the contract killing. The explosion seriously injured Yermolayev, and a woman and a child were also injured.

The investigation took another turn when Ukrainian authorities announced that a woman suspected of organizing the attack had been found shot dead near Kyiv. The circumstances of her death are still under investigation.
