Russia Launches New Ballistic Missile Attack on Kyiv

Russian ballistic missiles struck Kyiv and the surrounding region early on Sunday morning. According to local authorities, at least one person was killed and nine others were injured, and fires broke out across the city.

Fires broke out in a dormitory, a residential building and a supermarket, Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko said via the Telegram app.

Several non-residential buildings and warehouses were hit in the attack, he added, and parked cars and office buildings caught fire in several neighborhoods.

According to the Ukrainian Air Force, more than two dozen ballistic missiles were fired at targets in the capital and its surroundings. The military reported that two people were injured in the Kyiv region and that local warehouses were also damaged.
