Wildberries Warehouses Hit in New Ukrainian Drone Attacks

Warehouses belonging to Wildberries, Russia’s largest online retailer, were hit in Krasnodar and Nevinnomyssk in a fresh wave of Ukrainian drone attacks, company co-founder Tatyana Kim said on Wednesday.

Several employees were injured, while a worker was killed in the southern city of Armavir after drone debris struck a business.

Krasnodar regional governor Veniamin Kondratiev said 10 people were wounded in an attack on a storage complex. A total of 105 people were deployed to fight a large fire at the Wildberries warehouse in Krasnodar.

The latest strikes followed an attack on Saturday that killed eight workers, sparked fires and disrupted operations at the company.

The attacks on a business central to Russia’s consumer economy appear to mark a widening of Kyiv’s strategy of using long-range drones to disrupt the country’s war effort and increase pressure on the Kremlin.

Ukraine has not commented on the recent strikes.

Separately, Robert Brovdi, commander of Ukraine’s Unmanned Systems Forces, said Ukrainian drones had struck 13 Russian vessels in the Black Sea and Sea of Azov over the previous 48 hours.

Outgoing Commander-in-Chief Oleksandr Syrskyi said Ukraine had recaptured 700 square kilometers of territory this year.

“I am handing over to my successor an army that is not only holding the defense but is also on the offensive”, Syrskyi said in a statement on Telegram.

President Volodymyr Zelensky said on Tuesday that Major General Mykhailo Drapatyi would replace him after days of street protests.
