US Military Completes 13th Night of Strikes on Iran

The US military completed its latest round of strikes on Iran late on Thursday, marking a 13th consecutive night of attacks. According to US Central Command (CENTCOM), the operation lasted more than two hours and targeted Iranian military command centers, drone storage facilities, communications networks, coastal surveillance sites and maritime capabilities.

Washington said the strikes were intended to further weaken Iran’s ability to threaten civilian mariners and commercial vessels passing through the Strait of Hormuz, which Tehran has blocked.

President Donald Trump promised Iran and its Houthi allies “major military punishment” on Thursday after the Yemeni group struck two Saudi oil tankers in the Red Sea, extending the war into a second major shipping chokepoint.

Trump has also threatened to attack Iranian energy facilities and bridges. Tehran warned that, in response, it would target oil, gas, electricity and other economic facilities across the region.
